Cuba : la grande majorité de la population toujours sans électricité

A widespread power outage, the fourth in six months, left the majority of Cubans without electricity on March 15, 2025. The national electrical system failed, causing the outage that began in western Cuba. While priority sectors received power through parallel circuits, the government is working to restore the system. Cuba's aging electricity production system has suffered multiple island-wide blackouts recently and relies on imported fuels that are often scarce. The country aims to generate 37% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030.
